Jim Moran Institute's McDevitt Joins Leadership Broward

Fort Lauderdale, Fla.  Amy McDevitt, coordinator of the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship’s South Florida Operations, has been selected to join Leadership Broward Class XXXVIII.

Leadership Broward is a leadership development training organization for Broward County residents. The organization cultivates emerging leaders through a 10-month program, exposing them to community service and professional development opportunities.

“I am honored to have been chosen to participate in this premier program that offers a behind-the-scenes look into the issues affecting our community,” McDevitt said. “I’m also delighted to represent the Jim Moran Institute while learning new skills for professional growth that I can share with our program participants.”

McDevitt, a South Florida native, earned a bachelor’s degree in apparel design from the College of Human Sciences at Florida State University and has health and wellness training and various yoga certifications.

The Jim Moran Institute provides executive training programs in South Florida for CEOs, entrepreneurs, business owners, presidents and executive directors of small businesses and nonprofit organizations. Graduates emerge with the skills and training that allow them to capitalize on business opportunities, implement best practice management, and turn challenges into strategic advantages. These programs are offered twice a year at no cost to the accepted participants.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship’s South Florida Operations. Since 2009, the South Florida team has graduated 23 classes from its executive programs.
