Jennifer Brin Kovach is the Director of South Florida Operations for the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship in the College of Business at Florida State University. When hired in 2012, Kovach was tasked with establishing the division from the ground up in order to advance the Jim Moran Institute’s mission to cultivate, train, and inspire entrepreneurial leaders. Within three short years Kovach created a full scale entrepreneur and nonprofit leadership training division offering nearly 100 small to large events annually to 700 plus leaders. Kovach’s professional background includes extensive leadership roles in business development and the nonprofit industry, with experience in management, sales, educational programming, and marketing. Most recently, Kovach served a five-year term as a Director with the Technology, Enterprise & Development Center, an entrepreneur resource center in South Florida. Preceding the TED Center, Kovach was the Director of Programs and Community Services at Family Service, Inc. for two years. While working at Kids In Distress, Kovach was Program Supervisor of the Healthy Families Program for two and half years, before being selected as the agency’s first-ever Staffing Coordinator for the Residential and Preschool Programs. Kovach’s professional career began at Children’s Home Society as a Keeping Families Together Counselor.

Kovach is a member of the Alliance of Entrepreneur Resource Organizations, Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale, Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, Leadership Broward, Business Development Board of Palm Beach, Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, Greater Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Coral Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce, Central Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce, and the Miramar Pembroke Pines Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Mrs. Kovach, a native of South Florida, is making an impact in the community through volunteerism and her professional career. She volunteers and supports such notable organizations as the Junior League, United Way, American Red Cross, Ronald McDonald House, and as a past board member of Family Central. Her passion for helping individuals achieve their potential is in direct alignment with her career path.

Additionally, in her role as Director of the South Florida Division for the Jim Moran Institute Mrs. Kovach collaborates with local economic development organizations supporting entrepreneurs and non-profit business leaders. These organizations included: Broward College, Children’s Services Council of Broward County, Community Foundation of Broward, Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, Greater Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Hispanic Unity, of Florida, Leadership Broward, Metro Broward, Urban League of Broward County, SCORE, Small Business Development Center, Procurement Technical Assistance Center, and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
