Blue Air Training in Las Vegas has earned the No. 1 spot in the inaugural Seminole 100 list of businesses owned by Florida State University alumni.

Owner James “Chef” Barlow, who graduated in 1995, created Blue Air Training to train military personnel how to direct pilots in air operations. Barlow said his entire FSU experience set him up for a career in the U.S. Air Force, where he became the first fighter pilot since the Vietnam War to fly 100 combat missions.

BROWARD COUNTY (January 19, 2018) – The Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship, which is part of Florida State University’s College of Business, and the Broward County Human Services Department’s Community Partnerships Division are proud to announce the creation of the Alliance of Nonprofit Resource Organizations (ANRO). ANRO is a coalition of public agencies and community nonprofit organizations united to provide current and new nonprofit organizations with resources to aid in their success.

Jacksonville, Fla. — Mike Zaffaroni, the owner of Liberty Landscape Supply, is focused on the future of his company, which sells materials to beautify landscapes. Their customers are homeowners working on their yards, as well as landscaping industry contractors. They work each day to make landscape delivery easy for their customers. The company was successful in Fernandina Beach, and so Zaffaroni began considering opening a second location.
