Jennifer Kovach Honored at South Florida Business & Wealth Prestigious Women Awards

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – The Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship, in Florida State University’s College of Business, is proud to announce that Jennifer Kovach, director of South Florida operations, was recently honored by South Florida Business & Wealth (SFBW) magazine at the 2021 Prestigious Women Awards.

The Prestigious Women Awards recognize top female leaders from various industries throughout South Florida who have created business success stories and provided leadership to women and the broader community.

When asked how being a woman has impacted her career Kovach said, “For me gender is no different than any of my other physical features: eye color, height, or age. Once I leave the mirror in the morning, I don’t think about it again. My positive mindset and hard work ethic are the features that have impacted my career most.”

The multiple programs Kovach has launched through the Jim Moran Institute in Broward and Palm Beach Counties have assisted thousands of small business entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders throughout the region, providing insight and intelligence in handling business growth in the 21st Century. Since 2009, Kovach and the South Florida team have guided and graduated 33 classes through their executive programs.

Kovach is also the founder and chair of the Alliance of Entrepreneur Resource Organizations (AERO) and the Alliance of Nonprofit Resource Organizations (ANRO). Through these coalitions, she has paved the way for other community resource organizations to come together, discuss ways to support each organization and help to increase economic growth long term. Additionally, she is an active member of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, Leadership Broward, Business Development Board of Palm Beach, Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, and numerous other Chambers of Commerce.

The Jim Moran Institute provides executive training programs in South Florida for CEOs, entrepreneurs, business owners, presidents and executive directors of small businesses and nonprofit organizations. Graduates emerge with the skills and training that allow them to capitalize on business opportunities, implement best practice management, and turn challenges into strategic advantages. These programs are offered twice a year at no cost to the accepted participants. Applications for the Fall 2021 executive programs are open now through March 31.
